Interior Design
After a time working as a designer, some interior designers decide they want to contribute to the future of their profession. By becoming a professor or teacher at the high school or college level, these designers can have a direct impact on future interior designers.
To become a professor at the university level, most colleges require a master’s degree. However, smaller community colleges and technical schools will sometimes allow designers with a particular level of experience and career accomplishment to teach their students. In fact, some interior designers choose to teach part time, will continuing to work with interior design clients at the same time.
Still other designers enjoy working with other interior designers as a business consultant. They help designers learn how to run their businesses effectively, how to maximize profits, how to market their businesses and more.
